Ramban (JK): Alleging misappropriation of central funds meant for development in Jammu and Kashmir, BJP chief Amit Shah today promised that a probe will be carried out and the guilty punished if his party comes to power in the state.
“It is a fact that Centre has been pumping in huge sums of money for the development of this state.... more than any other state in the country. But still this state lacks in terms of development,” he said while addressing an election rally in support of party candidate Neelam Langeh in Ramban.
He vowed that if BJP is voted to power in the state, the government will hold an inquiry against those embezzling the money meant for developmental activities in the state.
“Where has all the money gone? Did they take it along to London when he goes there to spend summer? If an enquiry is conducted into this I assure you that this would emerge as the biggest scam of the country. The day is not far when we will hold an inquiry into this,” he said.
