Hyderabad: Gearing up to take a plunge into 'samaikyandhra' or united Andhra agitation, YSR Congress party chief Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy has sought the special CBI court's permission to visit Kadapa and Guntur districts in the first week of October.
The Lok Sabha member from Kadapa, who was released from jail on conditional bail Tuesday, filed a petition seeking permission to visit Idupulapaya in Kadapa district Oct 1-2, and to tour Guntur on Oct 4.
Jagan, as the MP is popularly known, plans to visit the grave of his father and late chief minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy at Idupulapaya. He is also likely to address a public meeting at Pulivendula to start his campaign in Seemandhra, as the composite Rayalaseema and coastal Andhra regions are known, against the Congress party's decision to bifurcate the state.
He also plans to address another public meeting at Guntur in support of the ongoing movement in Seemandhra.
