New Delhi: Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh has expressed serious concern over radicalisation of youths through social media and other online forums.

Speaking at the annual conference of Directors General of Police and Inspectors General of Police in white Rann of Kutch near Bhuj in Gujarat, he said that the activities of the dreaded terrorist group ISIS have been witnessed in India.

Emphasising on better coordination between the Central and state agencies to check the threat of ISIS, he said that the terror outfit has been trying to enhance its foothold in India and its neighbourhood - Bangladesh and Afghanistan.

The Home Minister also said that the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir was much better this year than the previous years, as security forces have done commendable job in controlling activities of terror groups.

Recently, sleuths of Pune Anti-Terrorism Squad grilled a 16-year-old Muslim girl who was reportedly radicalised by her ISIS contacts abroad and brain-washed to go to Syria.

According to reports, she has revealed that the terror group is planning to launch a massive assault on the Indian sub-continent by 2020.

The minor girl, the ATS said, got attracted to the ISIS ideology after watching a documentary on television and subsequently started regularly monitoring news on Al Jazeera channel.
