New Delhi: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh Monday praised the interim budget for 2014-15, saying Finance Minister P. Chidambaram had "aptly summarised" the economic and social achievements of the past 10 years of which the UPA government was proud.
In a series of tweets following the tabling of the interim budget in the Lok Sabha, the prime minister congratulated Chidambaram for presenting a "well balanced vote on account portraying a realistic picture of the economic situation in the country".
"The finance minister has aptly summarised the economic and social achievements of the last 10 years which our government is proud of," one tweet said.
