New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party may fall short of majority in the Jharkhand assembly polls, with the party projected to win within a range of 29-35 seats out of a total of 81, says an India TV-CVoter tracking poll telecast this evening.
In the crucial state of Jammu and Kashmir, the opposition People's Democratic Party is projected to emerge as the single largest party with a seat range of 27-33 seats in a House of 87. The BJP may emerge second largest party with a seat range of 23-29, says the tracking poll.
The current opinion poll is based on interviews of 4322 randomly respondents in the first week of November. Long term trends are based upon the cumulative tracking poll data of 12,000+ respondents interviewed during last 12 weeks across all assembly segments in both the poll bound states. The data have been weighted to known census profile and the margin of error is plus/minus 3 pc at state level and plus/minus 5 pc at regional level.
