For Congress, it looks to be case of double whammy. The exit poll results not only indicate a decrease in number of seats for Congress but a decrease of 2 percent in popular votes as well. The party is expected to win only 58 seats this time, 1 less than 2007 assembly elections. The party is expected to get 37 per cent of popular votes. In 2007 assembly elections, Congress had won 39 percent of popular votes.
