New Delhi, May 6: India should not trust China as it is a "betraying country" and can "attack India", Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav said here today.
"I appeal to the Government and the Prime Minister that they should not trust China...
The Chinese troops have seen the way and what difficulties they would face in coming in.
China will not stop and attack India as it is a betraying country," he said.
The SP supremo has been very vocal on the Chinese incursion issue and had recently termed Beijing as India's biggest enemy.
When asked whether China would attack India, he said, "What were they doing (in Daulat Beg Oldi area)? In 1962, they had occupied Indian territory after fighting but this time, they captured our land without fighting."
Chinese troops had pitched their tents 19 km into the Indian territory in Daulat Beg Oldi area from April 15 and moved out from there yesterday after prolonged discussions between the two countries.
Indian and Chinese troops were in a face-to-face situation for around three weeks.
Meanwhile, Yadav also demanded implementation of the Sachar Committee report on minorities in the country, especially for Muslims, saying their condition was poor despite they being the best craftsmen in the country.
