New Delhi: Bihar's outgoing Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi has said that he decided to resign because he was concerned about the safety of his MLAs.
Manjhi alleged that his MLAs recieved death threats ahead of the trust vote.
He claimed that he resigned despite having a majority in the Assembly.
He also accused the Assembly Speaker U N Chaudhary of violating the constitution by acting in favour of Nitish Kumar.
Manjhi said that he should have "resigned before".
Manjhi ruined the fact that he did not get respect as chief minister.
"I should have quit before," said Manjhi soon after he met Governor Keshri Nath Tripathi.
