New Delhi: Former BJP leader Jaswant Singh continued to be on life support systems and under constant monitoring today, a day after he was admitted to a hospital here in a highly critical condition.
"Former defence minister Jaswant Singh is still on life support systems and under constant monitoring by a team of neurosurgeons and critical care intensivists at Army Hospital (Research and Referral)," a defence ministry statement said Saturday.
The statement added "his vital parameters are stable but he continues to be in coma".
The 76-year-old leader was brought to the hospital with a head injury around 1 a.m. Friday following a fall at his house here.
He was brought to the hospital by his family members after they found him lying on the floor in an unconscious state.
