“Keeping in mind that mineral resources like coal and iron ore are exhaustible, we should use them in sucamannerthat we get maximum value addition from them, helping our economic growth,” Munda said.

The chief minister who laid the foundation stone for an international airport in Jharkhand's Deoghar district from hisresidence here cited the examples of the US, European countries and China and said they had managed their productsand time properly to dominate the world market.

Munda said one could overtake them with propermanagement of resources.

Recalling his discussions on the funding pattern with Planning Commission members Sudha Pillai and Kasturi Rangan sometime back, Munda expressed the hope that the international airport in Deogarh would be completed soon so that the temple would inthe world tourism air connectivity map at theearliest.

Suggesting that Gamaria in Jamshedpur was also fit foran international airport as the Kolhan division with its overRs 2,500crore annual business had the potential ofestablishing economic link with the outside world.

“We have given the Deogarh International Airport onlease to the Airport Authority of India for 30 years to manage
it and the lease will be renewed thereafter,” Munda said.

Munda said early completion of the airport should be ensured as not only Deogarh has a world famous temple town bualso the nearby Parsanath Jain Temple in Giridih is also popular.
