Nihal Chand - Graduate from Shaheed Bhagat Singh College Raisinghnagar (1994-95)


Nihal Chand, also known as Nihalchand Chauhan and Nihalchand Meghwal, is presently the Minister of State for Chemical and Fertilisers in Narendra Modi government.

Born on 4 February 1971, Nihal chand is a BJP MP and has been elected as a Member of Parliament four times from the Ganganagar constituency in Rajasthan. 

Nihal Chand was born in a Meghwal Scheduled Caste family. His father Bega Ram was a Swatantra Party MLA from Raisinghnagar.

Nihal Chand  married Jyoti in 1992 and  the couple is blessed with  two children.

In 1995, at the age of 24, Nihal Chand was elected as "Panchayat director"[Nanuwala, Sardarpura Bika and Bagicha {panchayat}] and that time he was also elected as the pradhan (chief) of the Raisinghnagar panchayat samiti.

In 1996, he became the youngest Member of Parliament (MP) from Rajasthan at the age of 25.
