New Delhi: Voters in Delhi have an option of availing a “buy-one-get-one-free” offer if they ensure that Kiran Bedi becomes the chief minister here as there is already Prime Minister Narendra Modi leading the government at the Centre, former BJP MP Navjot Singh Sidhu said today.

“You voted for Modi as prime minister. Now vote for Bedi as chief minister. This is a ‘buy one get one free' offer,” cricketer-turned-politician Sidhu said while addressing a rally at Tilak Nagar in west Delhi.

He also took a jibe at the short-lived AAP government in Delhi led by Arvind Kejriwal, which had resigned after 49 days in office, saying such things happen when a “monkey is elected in place of a lion”.

Sidhu also raised doubts over the financial viability of AAP's electoral promises about slashing tariffs for water and power and providing free wi-fi.
“Kejriwal has said he would make wi-fi and water free.  Where will the money come from? Will Kejriwal give the money when he can't pay his own rent?” he said.  In the address which was filled with his trademark quips, Sidhu termed the poll contest as a fight between good and evil.
“This electoral contest is a fight between dharm and adharm (good and evil).”

Terming the national capital the “heartbeat” of the nation, he said that Delhi's progress was crucial for India's development.“Dilli desh ki dhadkan hai. Dilli ko theek kar do, desh theek ho jayega,” he said.

BJP MP Anurag Thakur, who was also present at the rally, meanwhile, hit out at Kejriwal, saying, “Kejriwal is a factoryof lies. One day he will, get his name registered in the Guinness book for it,” he said.
