Haridwar: On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today travelled here from the national capital to have a rakhi tied on his wrist by his sister who lives in this city of Uttarakhand.
Kejriwal arrived by Delhi-Dehradun Shatabdi Express at 11 am at Haridwar station where he was given a Guard of Honour. However, he returned the vehicle provided by the district administration and went to his sister's place in his brother-in-law's car.
The AAP chief's sister, who is a doctor in the Haridwar office of Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), tied a Rakhi on his wrist only after 2 pm as it was not propitious to do so in the morning hours due to ‘Bhadrakal' (bad time mythically).
After spending the day with his sister, the Chief Minister returned to the capital by the Shatabdi Express.
Talking to the media, Kejriwal described his visit to the city as purely personal and offered his greetings to the people on the occasion of Rakhi.
