Hazaribagh (Jharkhand): Jharkhand PCC president Sukhdeo Bhagat today said candidates with a “clean image” would be given tickets for the 2014 general elections. “Candidates should be dynamic with a clean image to be eligible for party tickets,” he told reporters in reply to a query on ticket distribution.
Bhagat said the Congress and the JMM have agreed to contest in 10 and four seats respectively in the total 14 seats from the state in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.
On whether RJD had any chance of squeezing in the pre-poll alliance, he said “things in this regard are yet to be worked out.”
“Our focus will be on non-violence as taught by Mahatma Gandhi and welfare of the poor, protection of secularism and rooting out corruption,” he added.
