New Delhi: Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi today led a protest by his party MPs demanding resignation of Union minister General V K Singh for his dog remark.

The Congress leaders shouted "Suspend VK Singh,"  as they protested next to the statue of Mahatma Gandhi outside Parliament, shortly before the House met for another week in the ongoing winter session.

The Congress said it will continue to boycott Singh in Parliament. "If V K Singh comes to the House, we will protest against it. Our demand is take action against Singh for his remarks," a Congress leader said.

Congress and Bahujan Samaj Party had disrupted the Rajya Sabha last week demanding Singh's ouster from the Council of Ministers.

Singh, a former Army chief, kicked up a storm with his comments that the Centre cannot be blamed if somebody throws a stone at a dog. Singh was making the comment to shield the central government from criticism for the Faridabad Dalit burning incident, prompting opposition demands for his ouster.
