Bangalore: Karnataka's actor-turned-minister Ambareesh was shown in  a YouTube video sitting inside a bar, drinking alcohol and jiving to the Bollywood tune of "Humma Humma".

BJP leader Dr Subramanian Swamy today circulated the video link on his Twitter account and wrote: "Lighten up! Karnataka housing minister Mr Ambareesh was reportedly paid 1.22 Crore in medical bills (out of taxpayers', your money) when this minister went to Singapore.

"Now his kissing & drunken videos have come out. Kissing is his personal affair, none of our concern as it's not inside a government office (remember Manu Singhvi). However, posting the video because it's awfully funny:  http://youtu.be/16zzPlHg5h4http://youtu.be/16zzPlHg5h4

The video shows Ambareesh sitting at the bar, with his cronies dancing to the tune of Bollywood number "Humma Humma". Ambareesh himself was gesticulating wildly in consonant with the tune.

Ambareesh's antics have indirectly helped the main opposition BJP, one of whose MLAs, Prabhu Chavan was seen watching Priyanka Gandhi's images on cellphone inside the assembly.

A picture of Ambareesh kissing a young girl has also become viral on social media.

Ambareesh reacted to this by saying: "Yes...naanu 350 hudageerna ittukondideeni (I have affairs with 350 girls). So what? Let them complain to anyone. I don't care. I danced with girls in movies, but I didn't do it inside the Assembly. If the photo has been sent to Rahul Gandhi, let them do it. I have no problem. It is my private life."

Ambareesh was elected thrice as MP from Mandya and he was also appointed minister of state for Information & Broadcasting during the UPA-1 government at the Centre.
