New Delhi, Jan 26: Congress on Saturday announced a list of 51 candidates for the forthcoming Assembly elections in Nagaland, as well as for by-elections in Bihar and Punjab.
In the list of 51 names announced by the Congress for the Nagaland polls, former chief minister S I Jamir will be in the fray from Dimapur-II.
K L Chishi will contest from Dimapur-I, which is the only general seat for which a candidate was announced.
Polls for the 60 member Nagaland Assembly will be held on February 23. Results will be declared on February 28.
Congress also announced that Anita Ram will be the party candidate for Assembly by-election in Kalyanpur (Bihar) and Vijay Sathi from Moga in Punjab.
In the list of 51 names announced by the Congress for the Nagaland polls, former chief minister S I Jamir will be in the fray from Dimapur-II.
