Chandigarh, June 11: Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal on Friday asked the Centre to immediately concede the demands of Yoga Guru Ramdev who has been hospitalised after his health deteriorated on the seventh day of his indefinite fast against corruption and black money.
Asking the Centre to accord highest priority to this sensitive issue, Badal in a statement here warned, “If something untoward happens, especially to the life of Ramdev leading to deterioration of law and order, the entire onus will rest with the Govt of India.”
Badal also reiterated Shiromani Akali Dal's commitment to end corruption and bring back black money stashed in foreign banks.
He said the black money thus retrieved should be utilized for improving the economic lot of millions of poor who could not afford to have even two square meals a day. PTI
