Nagpur: Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan today said he could not speculate about his cabinet colleague Narayan Rane's next move.
Rane, who recently criticised Chavan's leadership, has handed over his resignation as minister, but it is yet to be accepted.
Speaking to reporters at his official residence here, Chavan said to a question that “we were together at a function and he did not discuss his plans with me”.
Rane had said last week that he would disclose his future course of action on Tuesday.
He had also been keen on joining Bhartiya Janta Party, had been in touch with some of the senior party leaders, may surprise everyone with a big political move and a game plan of starting his own party.
According to sources, "Rane is unhappy with the way congress is treating him and therefore, he may announce his own party thereby quitting congress."
