Rampur (UP): Senior Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan said the central government has failed to protect security forces personnel who are being killed by militants and Maoists from Jammu and Kashmir in the north to Chattisgarh in the east.
“The government has failed to do anything to save the precious lives of our jawans,” Khan told reporters here yesterday, referring to last week's terror strikes in the Kashmir Valley and Naxal attack in Chattishgarh. Taking a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Khan asked, “Why the Prime Minister is not giving a reply befitting to these attacks.”
The senior Uttar Pradesh minister said it was “shameful” that uniforms, suspected to be that of troopers martyred in the recent Naxal ambush in Chhattisgarh, was found in a garbage dump near a hospital in state capital Raipur. On controversy surrounding the remarks of Union minister Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti, Khan said, “Such persons have been given ministerial berths and they use filthy and abusive language in public rallies.”
“They (the ministers) are carrying out RSS agenda,” he alleged.
