Lucknow, Dec 24 : The BSP on Friday termed union minister and RLD leader Ajit Singh's meeting with the Home Minister P Chidambaram in connection with demand for Jat reservation as a “political drama” aimed at “misguiding” the community.
In a statement, the ruling party in UP said that in order to mislead Jats before the coming assembly elections, Ajit Singh met the home minister “in a meeting which was sponsored
by the Congress”.
“Ajit Singh is well known for his image of a party hopper and an opportunistic politician. Advocating jat reservation today is the latest example of his work style,” the party said.
BSP had always supported inclusion of Jats in the list of OBCs and the party chief has also written letters in this connection to the prime minister several times, the statement said.
