BJP may return to power in Rajasthan, Hung assembly in Delhi: India TV-CVoter projection

New Delhi: The BJP under the leadership of former chief minister Vasundhara Raje Scindia is set to storm back to power with 118 out of a total of 200 assembly seats in the forthcoming elections

Asked who would be the best candidate for chief minister, BJP's incumbent chief minister Dr Raman Singh scored the highest with 48 per cent, followed by Congress leader Ajit Jogi at 23 per cent. State Congress chief Charan Das Mahant came at 7 per cent.



In neighbouring Madhya Pradesh, the BJP has been projected to win 130 seats with Congress coming second at 84 seats, BSP 5 seats and others 11 in a house of 230.

Vote share wise, BJP this time is expected to secure 40 per cent, and Congress 36 pc, followed by BSP with 8 pc and Others 16 per cent.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan leads with 56 per cent in the poll conducted for the person best suited for the top post in the state. Congress leader Jyotiraditya Scindia comes second with 23 per cent.
