Saharanpur: Congress leader Rajiv Shukla on Monday said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was fooling the people and Lord Ram by not taking the Ram Mandir issue forward.
Speaking to media Shukla said, “The BJP is fooling the people in the name of Ram Mandir. One person says yes and then another then says no. Whenever they come to power they do not do anything. They are fooling even Lord Ram.”
Shukla was reacting to Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat's remark that the Ram Mandir would be a perfect tribute to former Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) president Ashok Singhal, who expired last week from health related complications.
“We have to make serious attempts to accomplish the Ram Temple and that will be a true tribute to him. Ashokji's spirit will guide us in this task,” Bhagwat had said at a condolence meeting for Singhal on Sunday.
