Moradabad: Vidhyasharan Sharma, BJP councillor of Moradabad, UP, has illegally taken hold over a house in neighbourhood, which is recently being bought by a Muslim family.
Sharma is hell bent that no Muslims should live in 'Brahmin' dominated area. The BJP leader has openly warned the police about the same.
However, police keep on explaining law to the leader but he said that no muslim family will be tolerated in the area. He said Muslim family should have considered the locality before buying the house.
As the brawl intensified with Sharma and his supporters protesting at midnight, Police put the locks on the house.
Shashi Sharma, the lady who has sold the house to the Muslim family, said that she was trying hard to sell his house from the last two years. But Vidhyasharan was obstructing her way and had said that the house should be sold go only to Hindu family.
“When I didn't find a Hindu buyer, I sold my house to a Muslim family. But BJP councilor is threatening me and trying to take hold over the sold property,” Shashi explained.
Shahana and her family, who has bought the house from Shashi, said that they are not able to take the possession of the house because of opposition by the BJP councilor.
“BJP councilor is not letting us live here. If he doesn't like the Muslims than he should buy the house from us and we will leave. We do not want any tussle,” said the Muslim family.
According to the family, they bought the house around six months back but BJP councillor is not letting them take hold.
Police assume that BJP councillor's protest is illegal but is unable to provide the possession to the owner of the house Muslim family. With no action against either side till now, police officers are refraining from speaking on the issue.
