Patna: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will return to the Bihar assembly election campaign today. He will address a rally in Banka at 2 pm.
This will be his first rally in the state since the poll schedule announcement.
RLSP chief Upendra Kushwaha and former Bihar CM Jitan Ram Manjhi will be present at today's rally.
Polling in Banka will take place in the first phase on October 12.
BJP had lost from Banka in Lok Sabha polls last year and it believes that a Modi rally can help it regain ground there.
Modi, BJP's chief campaigner, has already addressed five public rallies in the state beginning with Muzaffarpur and followed by Gaya, Saharsa, Ara and Bhagalpur, respectively.
On the other hand, BJP president Amit Shah will today visit Aurangabad today where he will address the party workers.
Bihar will have five-phase assembly elections between October 12 and November 5 and counting of votes will take place on November 8.
Meanwhile, A PMO release said that the Prime Minister will visit Jharkhand's Khunti today where he will inaugurate a 180 KW rooftop solar plant at the district court. He will later inaugurate a mega credit camp under the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana at Bihar's Dumka.
