Hazaribagh: The people of Bihar will "defeat" the "arrogant" Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for allying with "condemned" parties like the RJD and Congress in the ensuing state Assembly elections, Union Minister of State for Finance Jayant Sinha yesterday said.
"The Bihar Chief Minister has allied with condemned parties like Rashtriya Janata Dal and the Congress, but the people of Bihar would reject and defeat the alliance," Sinha said at a press conference here.
Alleging that both Congress and RJD have "spread Parivarwad (family fiefdom)," Sinha claimed no one could prevent the NDA from returning to power in Bihar.
"The BJP-led NDA will sweep the Bihar polls as the situation is very congenial for it. I visited the state and found voters want development as well as corruption-free governance, and this can only happen under the NDA with the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi," Sinha said.
The Prime Minister had already announced financial packages for Bihar's total development, Sinha said and alleged that Kumar was playing "political football" by misleading the people of Bihar about the package, but the people would reject him.
