People paid tribute to their lost leader with flowers, prayers and tears.

The ashes were then taken to Sangam, where the holy river Ganga, Yamuna and invisible Saraswati  rivers meet and together flow towards their onward journey to the Bay of Bengal. Following Nehru's  last will and testament, his ashes were scattered in the Sangam by his family marking the end of what we know as a great era of Indian politics.
