New Delhi: The famous actor turned politician, Raj Babbar had been an integral part of the Samajwadi party, before he joined the Congress party. Serving his fourth term as Member of Parliament, Babbar won the Firozabad seat by defeating the daughter-in-law of Mulayam Singh Yadav, Dimple Yadav.Raj Babbar with his first wife Smita PatilBabbar was born in Tundla near Agra, Uttar Pradesh, He was brought to politics in 1989 by V.P.
