New Delhi:A proficient adviser and a magnificent organizer, the scion of Congress president Sonia Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi, Priyanka has managed to leave a mark in Indian polity without actually being a part of it. She is the daughter of the first political family of India.Politics is something she has inherited from her family. Descending from the Nehru-Gandhi family, Priyanka has stayed close to political activities taking place in her family. Born in 1972, Priayanka did her schooling from Delhi and graduated from Delhi University in Bachelor of Arts. She also laid hands on radio operating.Although she never entered politics in full swing yet she has been quite a famous personality in her mother and brother's constituencies Amethi and Rae Bareilly. She has been a close advisor of her mother and has supported her brother through rigorous election campaigns.During 2004 elections, she not only organized campaigns for her mother but also acted as a skilled manager for her brother Rahul Gandhi.In 2007, during Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, while Rahul was on a statewide campaign, Priyanka concentrated on Rae Bareilly and Amethi. She spent two weeks resolving issues over seat allocation within party workers.Although Congress tasted miserable defeat in those elections yet Priyanka's efficiency in luring public was discovered.Priyanaka followed the legacy of love marriage. She fell for a Delhi businessman Robert Vadra and despite all odds she managed to tie a knot with him.
