Referring to the Ramjanmabhoomi movement in the Nineties led by the then BJP leader L K Advani, Singhal said, it was not easy to carry out the movement for Ram temple in Ayodhya at that time. "But when the rath rolled on, lakhs of Hindus came forward to worship Lord rama."
Singhal said, the VHP at that time took one brick from each village for building the Ram temple in Ayodhya.
"When our supporters proceeded, Mulayam Singh Yadav (the then CM of UP) said anybody who wants to come to Ayodhya should seek last farewell from his parents.
"Nearly 5 lakh Hindus assembles. He detained our supporters, and yet, nearly 5,000 fearless Hindus went and hoisted the flag at the Ramjanmabhoomi in Ayodhya."
Singhal called for the need to stop religious conversions of Hindus. He alleged that some foreign powers were trying to mislead people to convert from Hinduism.
