Kejriwal promises to halve power bills in Delhi, provide 700 litres water daily free

Kaushambi:  Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo and party's  chief ministerial candidate Arvind Kejriwal is fast emerging as a force to reckon with in upcoming Delhi assembly elections, if various pre-poll surveys are to be believed.

Q. You seem to be slightly unhappy with media these days. What's the reason?

Kejriwal:
We are not unhappy with media. Instead, it's media that is unhappy with us. Is it not a fact that media's interest in us has diminished after we leveled charges against Mukesh Ambani? Is it not a fact that Mukesh Ambani sent defamation notices to all media houses ? I have the copies of defamation notices with me.

Q: Coming to national politics, what do you think about the candidature of Narendra Modi and Rahul Gandhi for PM post? What is your stand on issues like Ram temple, Article 370 and uniform civil code? People says you have just one issue.

Kejriwal: People will decide about Modi and Rahul. And we don't need to take any stand on these issues.  Do you think taking stand will solve problems of starvation, poverty, health and education? Corruption is the root cause of all these problems and we are fighting against corruption. People are not concerned about these issues.

Q:  You are encouraging people not to pay water and electricity bills. Will it not create a kind of lawlessness in this country? Don't you think these battles should be fought with legal and constitutional means?

Kejriwal: No, this will not create lawlessness. Is it not lawlessness that Sheila Dikshit hiked the power bills in connivance with power companies?  As for legal means, who all are making laws and constitution? The same thieves are making laws. They are sitting in parliament and are making laws. They are making wrong laws and then they charge us for breaking laws.
