Kejriwal promises to halve power bills in Delhi, provide 700 litres water daily free

Kaushambi:  Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo and party's  chief ministerial candidate Arvind Kejriwal is fast emerging as a force to reckon with in upcoming Delhi assembly elections, if various pre-poll surveys are to be believed.

Q:  What was the breaking point with Anna Hazare? Is there any possibility of you two working together again?

Kejriwal:
Anna is like my father and Guru. We are still in touch. Anna thinks that politics is dirty and we'll all get dirty, once we enter politics. We said we have no other option than to enter politics irrespective of repercussions and this is where differences cropped in. He wants to achieve the objective through apolitical means. As for working again with Anna, he has made it very clear that he'll have no association with any political party.

Q:  How many Arvind Kejriwals do you have in your party? How can you ensure probity among your party men?

Kejriwal: See, people even say that what is the guarantee that Arvind kejriwal will not become corrupt after getting power? You know I was Income tax commissioner. An income tax inspector manages Rs 1 crore per year through illegal means. Being a commissioner, I could have earned much more. I have not joined politics for money. I can assure you that I'll take guarantee from all my 70 candidates  for  honesty, character and zero  criminal case. Even then if you give me any proof even one day before elections, I'll cancel his candidature. And what about their behavior after winning elections? We'll implement Jan Lokpal after winning elections and then people will get the power.
