Arunachal Assembly condemns Nido Tania's death

Itanagar:  Cutting across political lines, all members of the Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly today condemned the death of Nido Tania in New Delhi and unanimously resolved to impress upon the Centre to pass a strong

Earlier, while moving the resolution, Felix asked when the entire country unequivocally condemned the incident, why such an Act couldn't be passed by the Parliament.
 
Nido died after he was allegedly beaten up by some shopkeepers in New Delhi following an altercation sparked by their taunts on his hairstyle.

The House also adopted another private member's resolution brought by Congress MLA Karya Bagang and resolved to initiate steps with the Centre for setting up of oil storage depots at Bhalukpong, Likabali, Pasighat, Roing, Namsai, Miao, Deomali and Kanubari to minimise the problems of the people during economic blockades or bandhs imposed by organisations in neighbouring Assam.
