New Delhi: A court here has directed Delhi Police to register a case and probe allegations of cheating, forgery and criminal conspiracy against some AAP members for allegedly filing a forged document with the Election Commission of India.
Metropolitan Magistrate Akash Jain passed the order while hearing a petition filed by a political party's founding member who sought registration of an FIR against some Aam Aadmi Party members, who were earlier with his party, alleging that they had sent a forged resolution of his party which was purportedly signed by them.
The court said: "Keeping in view the facts, circumstances of the case and documents adduced on record, this court is satisfied that prima facie cognizable offences are disclosed...and the investigation by police is required to unearth the true facts and to ascertain the allegations of cheating, forgery and criminal conspiracy allegedly committed against the complainant."
