New Delhi: Delhi Government's ambitious odd-even scheme has witnessed a smooth run for last two days. While some carpooled, some cycled to work and some even planted trees in their bid to tame alarming rising in Delhi's pollution but AAP MLA Alka Lamba landed her self in a soup after she reportedly posted a photo shopped image to promote the cause.

Lamba's profile photo on her twitter page showed her holding a placard that read ‘Dilli ka hai ghut ta dum, milkar karein pradushan kam (Delhi is suffocating, let's join hands to reduce pollution)' but soon it was revealed that the pic had been taken at an event of the Chhatra Yuva Sangharsh Samiti, the party's student wing during Delhi University student body elections last year.

The photo, clearly edited, was later taken off but not before it attracted attention of twitteratis who bashed her for her publicity gimmick.

The party leadership is also reportedly unhappy over Chandni Chowk MLA's actions.

"Using a photo shopped picture gives the wrong message. Action against her is being contemplated,” an AAP source told HT.

To make the Odd-Even scheme success, the ruling party had instructed all its MLAs to reach out to their respective constituencies to sensitise people about City's toxic air.

As part of the plan, AAP MLAs have been posting pictures on social media of them cycling to work or planting tree saplings. According to her Twitter feed, she is currently in Surat.
