UP CM Yogi Adityanath meets PM Modi in Parliament

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath today met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Parliament.

During his interaction with PM Modi, Yogi Adityanath is also believed  to have discussed portfolio distribution among his cabinet colleagues in UP.

The new UP Chief Minister also held a meeting with Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley.

The UP Chief Minister is yet to distribute portfolios to the members of his council of ministers that consists of 22 cabinet ministers, nine ministers of state with independent charge, 13 ministers of state in addition to the two Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Dinesh Sharma.

After taking over as the UP Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath had made it clear that bringing law and order back on track will be the top most priority of his government and he is beleived to have discussed the subject  during his meeting with Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh today.  

The Uttar Pradesh government headed by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday warned state bureaucrats of penal action if they failed to check communal flare-ups in the state.

UP principal secretary (home) Debashish Panda and Director-General of Police (DGP) Javeed Ahmed also directed senior administrative and police officers to effectively monitor social media for timely police intervention in incidents that could disrupt communal harmony in the state.
