Patna: Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejaswi Yadav today lambasted the BJP for tagging Bihar with Jungle Raaj and pointed out that saffron ruled states are the worst performers in crime against woman.
Citing National Crime Record Bureau data, Yadav in a series of tweets slammed the BJP and asked the party to look at the records before forming a perception.
The NCRB data shows that no. of crimes per lakh in Gujarat, Rajasthan and MP is more than that of Bihar.
"Action speaks louder than words. Its National Crime Records Bureau data..Look at it to make perception," Yadav said.
Tejaswi, the younger son of RJD supremo Lalu Prasad, further cited the data on crime against women in which MP, ruled by BJP, topped the chart.
"NCRB data says Bihar safest place for women, BJP ruled states tops the chart in crime against women."
"MP & Rajasthan are hub of rapes..reflects NCRB data. Loud debates of Jungalraj to save unkind face of BJP rule." he said in his tweet,
Earlier also, Yadav had come out in his government's defence, he had said several political leaders and engineers have been killed in BJP-ruled states but nobody raked up the issue and said law of the jungle prevailed there.
He said the way people of Bihar voted the grand alliance of JD(U)-RJD-Congress to power will continue to echo in BJPs ears for the next five years and it is their main cause of worry.
After the Gaya road rage incident and Siwan Journalist's murder, BJP had repeatedly targeted JD(U)-RJD allaince for failing to control law and order in the state.
The RJD supremos rivals had coined to term to refer to alleged lawlessness during the Lalu-Rabri regime.
