Disgruntled BJP MP Shatrughan Sinha has praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his decision to demonetise Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 currency notes.
In a series of tweets today, the actor-turned-politician shared his views on the ‘note ban’.
Sinha called Narendra Modi a ‘dashing action hero’ who took the right decision at the right time.
“I maintain that our dashing action hero PM took the right decision at the right time. It's a bold, wise, timely move to curb black money,” Sinha tweeted.
However, he also expressed disappointment over mismanagement and poor planning of the 'demonetisation' move.
“Once again congratulate & salute our PM @narendramodi . However I'm dissapointed with some of us in our team who mismanaged by poor planning,” he said in another tweet.
"We should have been ready with a plan of how & what to do to not hurt people. Most of them are poor - and let's not forget - also our voters." Sinha said.
“Reliefs being announced today should have been declared from day 1 - not after & at the cost of lives of poor people. PM can't be blamed but accountability must be fixed as to who are responsible among us for creating so much unpleasantness and anarchy,” he added.
The Patna Sahib MP also said that money saved by the women of this country should not be mixed up with terror or black money.
“1 more point - Let's not mix up Black, Terror, Drug Money with money saved at home by mothers & sisters - family money for any eventuality,” he said.
