Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi on Friday took former Bihar deputy chief minister Tejashwi Yadav out on a "wonderful lunch," a gesture RJD leader said he was "grateful" for.
“Thank you @OfficeOfRG for taking me out for wonderful lunch. Feel appreciated and grateful. Again thanks for taking out time out of ur tight schedule (sic),” Tejashwi tweeted.
The lunch at a Khan market restaurant lasted one and a half hour, the Times of India reported.
The two leaders talked on a number of issues including prevailing political scenario as well as asking about well being of each other's family members, the report said.
Tejashwi was in Delhi for a week for questioning by Enforcement Directorate in connection with its money laundering probe into the railway hotels allotment corruption case of the UPA-I tenure. He was questioned by the ED on November 13 for the second time.
The meeting came a day after Tejashwi posted a series of tweets in defence of Congress leader.
"Just to take on Confident, Knowledgeable, Bright, Determinant, Dynamic, Resolute & Valiant @OfficeOfRG (Rahul Gandhi) in Gujrat the entire “Gappu Singh & Gang” is spitting venom & spreading lies across the country," Tejashwi had tweeted on Thursday.
