Addressing a rally in Bulandshahr of UP, Rahul Gandhi thanked the PM for the surgical strikes and termed it as the “first step worthy of a PM’.
"I want to thank Modi ji. This is the first step he has taken in two and a half years, worthy of a Prime Minister. My party and I stand with him, as what he has done is right," Rahul Gandhi said.
Later on, in a series of tweets, Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi said that he fully supported this move by the Prime Minister.
Rahul Gandhi also added that he would always support the PM when he makes decisions worthy of his stature.
"The Congress party and the entire India stands with this decision of the Prime Minister," Rahul tweeted.
Earlier, Rahul Gandhi had lauded the Indian Army for carrying out the operation in which several PoK-based terror launch pads were busted with around 50 terrorists neutralised.
"All of us stand firmly united against terrorism & those who support & sponsor it. The Congress Party and I salute the Indian Army and our jawans for acting valiantly to defend our country & our people. Jai Hind," he tweeted.
