Amid the ongoing controversy over Rahul Gandhi’s religion after his name appeared in the register meant for non-Hindus at Somnath temple, posters congratulating ‘Pandit Rahul Gandhi’ have appeared outside the Congress headquarters in New Delhi.

The poster congratulates Rahul Gandhi on being elected as the president of the Congress party and claims that he has been blessed by all the gods.

The poster, reportedly put up by Jagdish Sharma, has the photographs of Lord Shiva, Lord Ram, Lord Hanuman, Goddess Durga, Lord Buddha, Guru Nanak, Jesus Christ and Sai baba.  It also has the  photograph of a mosque.

Rahul Gandhi is all set to be elected as the new Congress president. He is the only candidate to have filed nomination for the party president post.

A controversy had erupted after Rahul Gandhi’s name appeared in the register meant for non-Hindus at Somnath temple in the poll-bound Gujarat. The Congress termed it a BJP conspiracy while the saffron party asked Rahul Gandhi to come clean on his religion.
