Days after he commended Prime Minister’s decisiveness in conducting surgical strikes against terror camps in Pakistan occupied Kashmir, Congress vice President Rahul Gandhi today castigated the PM saying he was doing business over the dead bodies of Army jawans and hiding behind their blood.

“Humare jawan hain jinho ne khoon diya hai, jinho ne surgical strike kiya, unke khoon ke peeche aap (PM) chhupe huye ho. Unki (jawans) aap (PM) dalali kar rahe ho. (Our soldiers who gave their blood, who did surgical strikes, you are hiding behind them. You are encashing their sacrifice),” Gandhi said in New Delhi on Thursday, virtually jumping into the raging politics over India’s surgical strikes across the LoC.

Rahul today returned to New Delhi after his month-long Kisan Yatra in poll-bound Uttar Pradesh. On the last day of his Deoria to Delhi ‘Kisan Yatra’ Rahul also targeted the Prime Minister over the IDS scheme alleging that he had failed to act against blackmoney despite his talk of "56-inch chest" to fight corruption, and instead brought out a a scheme for turning into white the ill-gotten wealth of "thieves".

Speaking during a road show in Meerut on the last day of his Yatra, Rahul pressed upon the Modi government to announce a debt waiver for farmers.

Gandhi also took a swipe at ruling Samjwadi Party, saying he will give UP a government of farmers, labourers and people of every religion and caste and not that of a selected few.

The Kisan Yatra ended today at Parliament Street in the national capital.
