New Delhi: Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi today made a stinging attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the government’s Pakistan policy, saying that PM Modi lacks vision and jumps from one position to another.
“PM thinks that international diplomacy can be done on basis of his whims and fancies. PM doesn’t have a clear vision. He jumps from one position to another position,” tweeted Rahul Gandhi.
The Congress VP further called for a sound strategy by India in terms of its dealings and what the government wishes to achieve by engaging with the troubled neighbour. “What is required is a coherent strategy. Meaning, having a clear vision of what one wants to do,” he further added.
Rahul Gandhi’s comments came after Congress leader Jyotiraditya Scindia blamed the Modi government’s policies in the Parliament over Pathankot terror attack.
Targeting Modi’s frequent visits to foreign countries and his surprise visit to Lahore to meet Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and the Pathankot attack that followed soon after, Gandhi tweeted, “PM feels like going to Pakistan one day, he gets up and goes to Pakistan. This is not how you run foreign policy.”
This is not the first time Rahul Gandhi has blamed Modi governemt for mishandling its foreign policy vis-a-vis Pakistan and its mishandling of the Pathankot terror attack.
Earlier, in January, few days after the attack, the Congress leader had blamed UPA government for handling the issue in an extemporary way.
