Navjot Kaur, wife of former Rajya Sabha MP Navjot Singh Sidhu, has resigned from the primary membership of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Kaur, who represents Amritsar East constituency in the Punjab assembly, sent a one line resignation to the Bharatiya Janata Party leadership, a party source said.
She could not be contacted for comments.
Navjot Singh Sidhu had last month resigned from the BJP, nearly two months after he quit as the party's Rajya Sabha MP.
The former Test cricketer, a former Lok Sabha member from Amritsar, recently announced launching of a political forum, Awaaz-e-Punjab.
