Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah today released the manifesto titled 'Lok Kalyan Sankalp Patra' (Pledge for People's Welfare) for the upcoming Uttar Pradesh Assembly polls.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah today released the manifesto titled 'Lok Kalyan Sankalp Patra' (Pledge for People's Welfare) for the upcoming Uttar Pradesh Assembly polls. 

At the launch of the manifesto here, Shah lashed out at the UP chief minister Akhilesh Yadav and said that he will have to answer for ‘hoodwinking people’.

"BJP is going to form the government with two-third majority. We have taken the feedback of about 30 lakh people through missed calls, letters, etc. We have done 5,000 public meetings," he said.

Besides focusing on creating job opportunities and better law and order environment in the state, the manifesto also promises an early construction of Ram Mandir at dispute site in Ayodhya, but within constitutional framework. 

He said that the BJP government will seek feedback from Muslim women on triple talaq issue and present their opinion before the Supreme Court where the Central government had recently batted for abolishing the century-old Islamic practice.
