Thiruananthpuram: With the latest trends it's clear now that CPI(M) led Left Democtaic Front will form the next government in Kerala. The LDF has either won or is leading in 85 seats.
It is clean sweep for the Left coalition in Kollam, Thrissur, Palakkad and Kannur.
The LDF has also managed to make inroads into the UDF strongholds of Ernakulam and Malappuram.
Besides, left backed independent candiadtes are also leading in their respective constituencies.
Meanwhile, BJP is leading in two assembly seats, Cricketer Sreesanth was trailing at the third spot in his Thiruvananthapuram constituency in the Kerala assembly elections.
State health minister VS Shivakumar looked set to retain the seat.

Former finance minister KM Mani has won in his home constituency of Pala with a margin of over 4,000 votes.
CPI candidate V.S.Sunil Kumar has won from Thrissur. He defeated UDF candidate Padmaja Venugopal by 6987 votes.
K.Raju of CPI wins from Punalur by a margin of 33,000 plus votes.

As counting begins in Kerala, the early trends are going in favour of Left Democratic Front. LDF was leading in 80 seats, UDF in 53 seats, others leading in 3 seats and NDA in two seats.
