The BJP will press Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy to seek trust vote in the Assembly on Monday, state BJP chief B S Yeddyurappa said on Saturday.
The former chief minister asserted that the Congress-JD(S)coalition government has lost majority and its collapse was imminent.
In a surprise move amid the existential crisis faced by his government, Kumaraswamy had on Friday announced in the state Assembly that he had voluntarily decided to seek a trust vote to end the "confusion" caused by resignations of rebel MLAs and requested the Speaker to fix time for the same.
Yeddyurappa said on Saturday that the Chief Minister "must move the confidence motion Monday itself".

4:00 pm - 5 more Congress rebels to petition SC on resignations
Five more Karnataka Congress rebel legislators are set to petition the Supreme Court asking it to direct Assembly Speaker K.R. Ramesh Kumar to accept their resignations, sources said on Saturday.
The five rebels are Anand Singh, Munirathna, Roshan Baig, M.T.B. Nagaraj and K. Sudhakar.

1:25 pm - Rebel Congress leader MTB Nagaraj, who hinted withdrawal of his resignation arrives at Congress leader and former Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah's residence.
12:15 pm - " We should live together and die together because we have worked for 40 years for the party, there are ups and downs in every family...," said Congress' DK Shivakumar after rebel MLA MTB Nagaraj hinted that he may withdraw his resignation. DK Shivakumar is known to be troubleshooter in Karnataka Congress.

11:55 am - Rebel MLA MTB Nagaraj gave indications about his thoughts of withdrawing his resignation.
"Situation was such that we submitted our resignations but now DK Shivakumar and others came and requested us to withdraw resignations" Nagaraj told ANI.
"...after all I have spent decades in Congress," he added.
