Former Jharkhand Minister and state president of Janata Dal-United (JD-U) Jaleshwar Mahato on Saturday joined the Congress.
The Congress announced Mahato's induction into the party in Twitter.
"Congress President @RahulGandhi welcomes Shri Jaleshwar Mahato, President of Janata Dal (United), Jharkhand & former Cabinet Minister in Jharkhand to the Congress family," it read.
