Yoga Guru Ramdev on Monday said that he sees himself as a “non-political” person and has devoted himself to “nation-building”.
“I have devoted myself to larger issues such as nation-building, character building, education, agriculture and health, among others. Hence, I see myself as a non-political, independent person who is in service of mother India,” said Ramdev.
“I work with the philosophy of the nation first, hence, my political role is limited to ensure that the country is governed by good people,” he said and added, “I want to make a charity of Rs 1 lakh crore in health, education and agriculture sectors.”
While commenting on Gujarat rape case he said what is happening in the state is not right.
After the rape of a 14-year-old girl by, allegedly, a native from Bihar, violence erupted against Bihar and Uttar Pradesh migrants in the state.
Ramdev also said that the government must reduce the price of fuel.
Talking about Modi government he said that there are many political and economic challenges before the Centre.
He also expressed concern that there is no debate taking place in the country on development and rather people are discussing useless topics.
