Former cricketer Vinod Kambli is all set to join Maharashtra unit of the BJP in the next couple of days.
Kambli today met Maharashttra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to discuss matters related to sports in rural areas of the state.
After coming out of the meeting with the CM, Kambli said that he will take a call on joining the BJP in next couple of days.
“I contested the last Assembly elections although I could not emerge victorious. There are some unfulfilled political dreams and I want to fulfil them by joining the BJP,” Kambli said.
Vinod Kambli had lost 2009 Assembly elections from Vikroli constituency. He had contested on the ticket of Lokbharati Party.
Kambli also said that he was impressed by the ‘Good Governance’ model of both PM Modi and Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis.
“I always played with the straight bat and therefore, I like to talk straight,” he added.
